FENSCH

FENSCH is a small steel valley in eastern France, the birthplace where the photographer lives and works. This is the place she choses to reflect on the building mechanisms of the popular imagination and on the images that we forge and transmit to face the world.

Second issue of the « PhotosMots » collection, FENSCH is the creation ground of two French artists: CLAIRE JOLIN, photographer, and HERVE SCIALDO, writer. Their works, a photographic series of 40 images and a « cadavre exquis » of poems that open like a sculpture in the middle of the book, share subtle links. So does the layout with the book-binding. While printed on two different sized notebooks, they fit in one another, as images and words interfere.
